About Author

Asia Ahmed Abdelaoui, an Algerian writer specializing in children’s literature, holds a master’s degree in teaching French, and works as a French language teacher in the intermediate level. Winner of the 17th Abdul Hameed Shoman Award for her poetry collection, “The Whispers of Creatures.” She has three publications in children’s literature: Will I See You Next Spring (story), Who Stole the Idea (story), and Spring Bells (poetry for children). She wrote dozens of songs for children in simple, eloquent Arabic, which the children loved and spread throughout the Arab world, reaching hundreds of millions of views on YouTube. A volunteer cultural activist and founder of the Jasmine Children’s Club, she seeks, through her volunteer activity, to develop children’s culture and make reading a daily habit for them.
