Biography of Prof. Dr. Hussein Ali Harf
Artist, academic, and media person (practicing directing, writing, and theater and television criticism).
An expert in childhood and youth affairs. An expert and specialist in the art of monodrama - born in Baghdad in 1960.
– Master of Dramatic Direction (1988) – PhD in Literature and Theatrical Criticism (1997).
He holds the rank of “Professor” from the University of Baghdad / 2010.
Head of the Art Education Department at the College of Fine Arts for the period 2007-2010.
Secretary of the Theater Critics Association in Iraq. Member of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate.

He participated as an actor and director in many theatrical, television, radio and cinematic productions.
He worked as a representative and assistant director with a group of pioneering and creative directors (Ibrahim Jalal - Sami Abdel Hamid - Badri Hassoun Farid - Qassem Muhammad - Dr. Aqil Mahdi - Dr. Salah Al-Qasab - Miqdad Muslim - Dr. Adel Karim - Dr. Hamid Saber )
He wrote many theatrical scripts for adults, children and boys.
He wrote (25) plays for children, including (6) plays for puppets, and he directed (10) plays for children.
Many plays for children were produced for him in Baghdad, Erbil, Najaf and Algeria.
He participated in the conference on the reality of education in countries affected by crises, which was held in Paris under the auspices of UNESCO / 2008.

- Supervised a number of master's theses and doctoral dissertations and discussed a number of others.
He participated in many scientific conferences and art festivals in Amman, Damascus, Cairo, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Tunisia, Belgium, France and Istanbul.

He represented Iraq at the International Festival of Puppetry, which was held in Tunisia in 2012, with the play (Hand in Hand).

Iraq represented a director at the International Festival of Children's Theater in Umm Al-Araes - Tunisia with the play The Tale of the Cock Crying, and won the award for the best integrated show
He represented Iraq as a director at the Arab Festival for Children’s Theater in (Kebli) and won the award for best director
He participated in the La Montais Festival in Paris, with a monodrama show (Ya Harima), written, directed and acted by him.
A director and researcher participated in the founding session of the first Carthage International Monodrama Festival in Tunisia 2018.
He held several artistic workshops in the fields of (puppetry), (the art of writing) and (children's theater).
He delivered many cultural lectures in many Iraqi and Arab cultural forums, institutions and organizations
– He has an Iraqi and Arab media presence through more than 300 radio and television interviews through Iraqi and Arab television stations, and for more than three decades he has published:
